CBRE announced self-storage expert Walter Brauer joined the firm.
Brauer, who is coming over from Marcus & Millichap, joins CBRE as vice president and will be part of the Capital Markets Self-Storage team in Ontario, headed by Nick Walker.
“Walter has a deep understanding of this sector with more than a decade of experience under his belt,” said Walker. “He comes to us with an extensive network because of his ceaseless efforts of being a true market expert. He will be a great addition to our team and the firm.”
Brauer has more than 25 years of commercial real estate investment and leasing experience. He has helped facilitate the sale of several self-storage assets, including the 46-property A American portfolio, which traded for $168 million. He has also represented and sold assets for self-storage REITs, such as CubeSmart.
Brauer graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s Degree in Music. Before becoming a real estate professional in 2008, he performed with the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, and Boston Ballet Orchestra.
